Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are an excellent solution for replacing missing teeth, restoring the function of your original teeth, and providing an aesthetically pleasing smile.

Restore Your Smile With Custom Dental Bridges at Marigold Dental

At Marigold Dental, we believe in bringing back your beautiful smile with high-quality dental bridges. As a permanent solution to missing teeth, dental bridges are more than just cosmetic fixes. They are a critical aspect of maintaining your overall oral health, as they help restore the natural balance of your bite and reduce the risk of further tooth loss.

We customize dental bridges with our in-house CEREC crowns to match the natural color, size, and shape of your teeth, ensuring a seamless and comfortable fit. As a professional and committed dental team, we ensure the highest standard of care throughout the process, from your initial consultation through the fitting and aftercare of your dental bridge.

Advantages of Dental Bridges from Marigold Dental:

Dental bridges can offer a multitude of advantages when it comes to replacing missing teeth. Here are five primary advantages based on the sources provided:

  • Be Yourself Again: A Dental bridge can restore your ability to chew and eat by properly filling the gap left by a missing tooth or teeth. They can also restore your ability to speak clearly by making certain sounds that would be harder without the presence of certain teeth.
  • Improved Aesthetics: Dental bridges enhance the aesthetic aspect of your smile by replacing missing teeth. Marigold Dental creates bridges to closely match the color of your surrounding teeth closely, helping maintain a natural look.
  • Preserving Facial Shape: Missing teeth can alter the shape of your face, causing an aged appearance. Dental bridges help maintain the structure of your face, preventing these changes by providing the necessary support that your jaw needs.
  • Preventing Misalignment of Remaining Teeth: When a tooth is missing, the surrounding teeth may shift into the empty space, leading to a bad bite and other complications. Dental bridges fill the gap and prevent your other teeth from moving out of position.
  • Enhancing Self-esteem: A full set of teeth can make you more confident in everyday interactions. A dental bridge can help boost your self-esteem and confidence by restoring your smile.

What to expect when getting a Dental Bridge at Marigold Dental

Getting a CEREC bridge is an exciting and intricate process involving advanced dental technology and expert craftsmanship.

Because custom-designing a bridge is more sensitive and we want to see how the patient functions in their prototype bridge, Marigold Dental completes the dental bridge creation over two visits.

Here’s what to expect:

  1. Preparation of the Anchor Teeth: The first step in the process is preparing the adjacent teeth that will be used as anchors for the dental bridge. These teeth, also known as abutment teeth, are crucial as they support the bridge. This preparation involves reshaping the teeth by removing a portion of enamel to allow for a crown to be placed over them. This step is usually performed under local anesthesia using the Onset by Onpharma local anesthetic buffering system [link to tech] to ensure patient comfort.
  2. Creating a Digital Impression: The dentist will create a digital impression of the patient’s mouth. This is a modern, more comfortable alternative to the traditional method of taking dental impressions using a mold. This digital impression, made with a specialized scanning device, captures a highly accurate 3D image of your teeth and gums. Dr. Brar will carefully scan the area where the bridge will be placed, along with the surrounding and opposite teeth, to ensure the bridge will fit seamlessly into your bite.
  3. Designing the Bridge: Using the CEREC system, Dr. Brar will use the digital impression to design a custom dental bridge that fits your mouth precisely. This design process involves advanced CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) technology. The software can adjust for optimal fit, appearance, and bite alignment.
  4. Creation of the Bridge: Once the bridge’s design is complete, the data is sent to an in-office milling machine, which fabricates the bridge and the crowns out of a solid block of high-quality ceramic material. It’s awe-inspiring to know that a ceramic block will be transformed into a tailor-made dental bridge that perfectly fits your mouth.
  5. Placement of the Bridge: The custom-made CEREC bridge is ready to be placed. Dr. Brar will carefully attach the bridge to the prepared teeth, ensuring the fit is comfortable and the appearance is natural. The crowns on either side of the bridge are attached to the prepared teeth (the anchors), while the replacement tooth, or “pontic,” sits in the gap, restoring your smile and bite.

Remember that each patient is unique. Dr. Brar will guide you through this process based on your specific needs.

The key advantage of our CEREC bridge process is that it can often be completed in just two visits, making it a convenient option for busy individuals who want high-quality, customized dental restorations.
